It is hard to believe that we had these beautiful blues sky's with clouds over our house at dinner time tonight. The children had fun, as we were sitting around the dinner table, finding different objects in the clouds. At one point the top cloud was a pirate ship then it turned into a man swimming laps blowing bubbles out of his nose and over his head, lastly they saw it become a dragon.
About 35 minutes after dinner the blue skies turned dark just as we were to watch our middle son play a ball game. A storm came in fast and the game was cancelled just minutes prior to game time.
Before the game was cancelled thought, the coach had time to present the game ball
to the team player who earned it from the game this past Saturday.
Our middle son was the privileged boy that got to bring it home!
The coach specifically told him he is a hard worker. He got the first game ball of the season.
We all had a fun evening together.
The kids all played well together and in the end I was glad for the storm.
As it came time to tuck the boys in and say bed time prayers, I went first.
I thanked the Lord for many things. At one point in my prayer I said,
"and thank you that the ball game was cancelled and we all enjoyed our time together at home. . ."
When it was our oldest sons turn to pray, one of the things he prayed for was this-
"and God, please forgive Moma for such a bad prayer."
When he was done praying he looked at me and said,
"you don't thank God for a ball game that got rained out!"
This Moma does. I have much to be thankful for and we are to be thankful
in all our circumstances, even rained out baseball.
Don't forget to count your blessings.
