Early to Bed, Early to Rise

Nap time for him is getting later and later in the day. He fell asleep here on the floor while playing the other night at 6pm as I was making dinner. He has been having a hard time falling asleep during regular nap time for a couple of weeks now. His general schedule now is a late nap between 4 and 6, bed time between 10 and 11, wake-up time between 8 and 9am. I am working to turn him around. I think it is going to take a few days. I would prefer an early nap between 2 and 4, then bed time between 8 and 9, with wake-up in the morning between 7 and 8. The pediatrician has always said to work in 15 minute increments. So, if bed time has naturally fallen at 10 pm but you want 9 then you work on getting him to fall asleep 15 minutes earlier each night until you reach the desired time. With this method it's only going to take about 4 days to get him to bed at least 1 hour earlier. Early bed time here we come!
